As promised, the first 20 minutes of class will be dedicated to finishing our grid project. After we will jump in to a brief history of illuminated manuscripts. Don't stress, we will discuss these all week, today is a brief introduction.

The first chunk of class is dedicated to finishing up our Grid drawings, then we will take a quick look at illuminated manuscripts to get a rough idea on the next project. Don't worry, we will go in depth in the next few days, regarding project details and more on illuminated manuscripts.

We found all the black shapes, now we are on to the final paper! All instructions will be done via document camera. Check your grades, I am missing a lot of syllabi!

Last week you all did an excellent job with our grid practice! Now we will apply our practice to the image we selected on Friday. Over the document camera I will go through the steps!

After reviewing your wonderful black and white line drawings, I see that we are ready to move on to a different project. I am excited because we will be learning about gridding, and how it can help us improve our drawing skills.

Today we will finish up our mini project of varying lines, if there is enough time we will go over pattern and jump into our big line/pattern project. We will spend multiple days on this project, so take your time, best quality work!

As promised, the first ten minutes of class are dedicated for those who needed a little extra time on the positive and negative shape project. If you are still not finished it is now homework. Today we will begin our introduction into line, and begin a mini project.

A lot of you are near completion! Lets spend the rest of today finishing our positive and negative shape project. Remember, craftsmanship counts towards your grade, so take your time! If you are finished I have a worksheet you may begin which plays into our next project!
